At ALO Woods, we craft all our furniture and gifts using recycled, sustainable wood. As a result, your item may display natural imperfections such as visible glue joints, screw holes, nail holes, bug holes, tooling marks, saw kerf, cracks, and slight movement in the wood due to expansion and contraction.
These characteristics are inherent in the use of reclaimed materials, making each piece uniquely crafted and one-of-a-kind. Please consider these features before requesting an exchange or return, as they aren’t flaws but a reflection of the authenticity behind each handcrafted piece.
Online purchases
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange a product purchased online, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We accept exchanges for items in their original condition and packaging. Please note that the customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item for an exchange unless the item received was incorrect or visibly damaged.
Please note that because we use recycled materials, the replacement item will have its own unique characteristics and may not look exactly the same as the original.
Returns conditions
We accept returns on online purchases under the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 14 days of delivery.
- Custom or personalized items cannot be returned unless damaged upon delivery or incorrect.
- Returns must be pre-approved by contacting our customer service team.
If approved, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was incorrect or defective.
Refunds
Refunds are issued once the returned item has been received and inspected. If the item is found to be in acceptable condition, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 5-7 business days.
- Refunds will only be issued for items that meet our return conditions.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (incorrect or damaged items).
Please allow additional processing time for refunds during peak periods.
Offline purchases
Exchanges
For items purchased offline (at a craft fair, market, or other in-person event), exchanges are accepted within 7 days of purchase. The item must be in its original condition and accompanied by email receipt. Exchanges are subject to product availability, and the customer is responsible for shipping the item back at their own expense for exchange.
Returns
All day-of purchases are final sale and cannot be returned, but exchanges are allowed per policy above.
