Andrew Orman, the creative force behind ALO Woods, has been crafting and fixing things for as long as he can remember. From a young age, he found joy in building with his hands. Today, Andrew creates stunning custom furniture and gifts, blending craftsmanship with sustainability.

What sets ALO Woods apart is Andrew’s commitment to zero waste, which stems from his B.S. in Environmental Science and Natural Resources with a minor in Geology. He primarily works with what he fondly calls “shop drop”—scrap wood pieces from other projects that would otherwise be discarded. Each piece of wood tells a story, and by repurposing these materials, Andrew ensures that no two creations are ever alike. The uniqueness of the wood gives each item a one-of-a-kind character, making his work stand out in any home.

When there are remnants too small to be used, Andrew doesn’t let them go to waste either. Instead, they’re used to heat his shop.
